A poem for my Best Friends
Looking back at my life to date
I realise how special you are to me
Chained willingly to me by fate
You are the one’s that set me free
I never saw at the time
That you were helping me too
So I sit here, trying to rhyme
To let you know, I love you
To my dearest Cookie:
My little foreign girl
You are stunning outside and inside
So give us a twirl
Don’t try to hide
You are the calming sea
When all around me the wind blows
The one who doesn’t judge me
No matter which way my mood flows
To my dearest Pigeon:
You never fail to make smile
Even when everything seems so wrong
We sit and bitch for a while
And play our Manson song
You understand all my issues
You know what its like to feel this way
You are always ready with the tissues
And a way to make them pay
To my dearest KFP:
How do I adequately say
What you mean to me
I suppose the best way
Is by making you your morning tea
You’ve always been a friend
Now you’re a boyfriend and best friend too
You’ve got me on the mend
I can’t help but love you
You all mean the world to me
And whilst I know this poems awful
I hope that you can see
I love you all
