My slow Poison
You once induced me like a drug.
And I gave in to your sedation.
I had to learn, that all this time,
You were just slow poison.
All you have to do is look at me,
And you can see it all.
I can’t stand the truth right now.
Oh, please, just let me go.
You are like the sun.
You blind me.
And yet you are warm and charming.
How can I deny you?
I could never see my reflection,
Mirrors are such tricky things.
But then you painted me a portrait,
And now, for the first time, I can see.
Your touch trails and burns.
I want to consume you,
Burn you,
and watch you turn to ash.
Mend my heart,
Brush off the dust,
Heal my wounds,
And make your mark.
For you I gamble everything,
And mix it with the sin.
For that smile and crooked heart,
I burn and burn again.
This game we play is madness.
But I will not stop,
And you will not stop,
Until we’ve both reached the end.
The ground shakes, earth quakes,
I’m finally breaking down.
Big explosion, death-trap blast,
This is everything I’ve become.
I’ve found that silver lining,
Here beside me all this time.
I never knew, I never imagined…
That you would be the one.
For this I know for certain,
Even past the edge of space,
And beyond the end of time,
I will love you
Today
Tomorrow
Forever
